20-1. VIEW - Toolbar VARIOUS in AutoCAD
The Various views of the drawing - Toolbar VIEW
The main bar to view the drawing in a certain position (projection) and use it in 3D drawing. The same commands can be used via View File Menu. Locate the tape can be anywhere on the working window in the system of Drag and Drop.

If you visit the link ORTHOGONAL drawing then you could see that we VIEW Toolbar important for a variety of views on the drawing.
Notice that the appearance of the UCS is not the same as in the 2D drawing. To change the UCS and do the following:
With the textual File Menu select the Group command View => Display => UCS Icon => Properties. Select the layout options for 3D

Use the button (icon) on the View toolbar, you can choose a specific view of the drawing.
- Top - top view (plane X-Y) => floor plan
- Bottom view of bottom (X-Y plane)
- Left - View from the Left (YZ plane) => side elevation
- Right view (from right (plane Y-Z)
- Front - front view (X-Z plane) => draft
- Back - back view (the plane Y-Z)
- SW Isometric - 3D view from the South-west
- SE Isometric - 3D view from the South-east
- NE Isometric - 3D view from the North-east
- NW Isometric - 3D view from the North-west
If rotated UCS then not apply to articles over the plane.
In the links on the menu, you can see all views on an individual 3D drawing completed.
For a better overview and conjuring views I used Conceptual Visual Style.

I will show examples in the following links can be downloaded to your computer and unzip the file and then open in AutoCAD. Click ExampleZip1 and ExampleZip2.
Otherwise, the 3D drawing, you can use Wireframe, Realistic Visual Style, Conceptual Visual Style, as well as others who are on the toolbar, the Visual Style.
Realistic view of the Drawings
If we speaking of views on a drawing, I would note that in AutoCAD you can use various pictures as materials to display certain surfaces such as brick wall, glass surfaces, etc. ...
On the drawing below I used some images that I conjured up the materials from which the house was built. Notice in the drawing that I used for a variety of different surfaces Materials, for example: the trims, the grass, the path around the house, the roof, the wall of the small brick, the windows ... )

How to use the materials for drawing?
Firstly in respect of Realistic Visual Style (toolbar View Style) you can see Materials added to certain areas.
To use the Realistic Visual Style you need to on your computer you have enough RAM memory as well as higher speed processors. While rendering drawings of these elements are important.
The following file formats are supported for adding material to the drawing in AutoCAD.

How to add some material on a particular area drawings (Add Materials into Draw in AutoCAD)
Now you suggest that when you add a material particular area, just activate the respective surface (surface). How you can do it without error? So what you exclude from view all other Layer and turned to leave only layer that refers to the respective surface of the object. Can you point to say, for example: you can add certain types of wallpaper on every wall in the room if you have planned your drawing. (Materials can be added only at the the surface or a closed area, see the link for the command REGION )
Here I would note that you are in the folder that hosts the image material in AutoCAD 2007 that you can use is on the path (path path) C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2007\R17.0\enu\Textures \. In as much as you do not see this folder in Windows Explorer, select the option Show Hidden Files via Tools => Options (Tools => Folder Options => Display)
You can place TEXTURES folder where you want and if necessary add certain texture of materials in the same folder.

Example 1. Add pictures (Materials) wall of small bricks on the exterior wall of the house drawings. Take for example the wall of our house looks like. (This wall above is drawn POLYSOLID command)

In the Command Line prompt, type the command MATERIALS + Enter key. You will open a dialog window to work with materials, like this one in the picture below.

When you prepare the surface on which to add material (eg hide all other layers) and run the Materials command, it is necessary for dialogue window, select the 3D shape of the geometry of the material by clicking on the button No.1 choose the type of model you use. Of course we have a flat surface of the wall, so we will use the Geometry Swatch Cube. (LTM = Left Mouse key)

Now we have this window

The next step was supposed to be to select CREATE NEW MATERIAL click on button 2 (see picture above) and you will open a window like this, which specify a name and description of materials.

The next step is to find the textures for our wall material, which have already been prepared. Click on the button 3 (see picture above in dialog window Available Materials in Drawing) SELECT. After that we will open the folder that contains our texture (if you open the first time, locate the folder that contains the texture).

Use the button (the icon in the picture above) where I named "modify" (ADJUST BITMAP) can change the texture parameters at a given surface. Playing with the parameters set to reflect the bricks on the surface of the drawings in some real sense.
After choosing the material - the texture should be applied to the surface texture of the drawing. To do this click on the button No.4 (Please see the picture above) and the button has the name of the Apply Material to Objects. The mouse cursor can be transformed into a "Brush" with which you must click on the drawing surface on which we apply the texture. If you need other layer can you happen to be the texture is not sticking to a certain desired area so must be off the other layer.

Of course, I initially said it all depends how you plan a drawing, so you'll be able to use a certain texture. eg: If you have a wall of a house that will be of small brick wall and part of which will be of some other material, you must take into account that these two are not connected to the wall in one area (Union) that is connected to one another. Should be two separate planes that apparently make up one. Then you can use a texture for each wall separately (it is best to put them each in a separate layer).
In the drawings, DWG files, which can be downloaded at this site (link above) you can see the source file that is inside the walls can set wallpaper (for each surface of the wall coverings that go on every wall I added an enclosed area to which I applied background texture.
ATTENTION! There is a problem, you can see the look of the material that I used because I do not have a Texture used. But at least you can see the layer and use some of their own materials if desired
