17-3. MIRROR drawing in AutoCAD

How to use MIRROR Command in AutoCAD

Modify toolbar - Modify menu MIRROR

MIRROR command to start from the toolbar or from the MODIFY menu, File menu = Modify> Mirror, or the command line prompt, type the command.
With MIRROR command we flip the lines, parts drawings, blocks, etc. about a particular axis.

By mirroring the actions we have seen that we can flip the drawing in two ways.
First: mirroring, erasing the original drawings
More: mirroring with a copy of the original drawings, but turned in the mirror.

You can use a MIRROR command as follows:
  1. Click the MIRROR button
  2. Select all line drawings (block, complete drawings, etc.)
  3. Confirm and complete the selection using the enter key
  4. Click on the first "base point" and then to another base point
  5. Now choose (see status bar) you want to delete the original drawing, or just make a copy but at the same position as in a mirror that mirror it.
  6. Of course, as we flip the original drawing will not delete (because they create a drawing, in this case, we flipped the first half and created the second half and both form a complete drawing.)
  7. Press the Enter key to complete
