17-2. COPY - Copy the lines, drawings, objects in AutoCAD

How to copy a drawing or part of the drawing in AutoCAD


Modify toolbar - Modify menu COPY

COPY command to boot from the toolbar MODIFY with a text menu Modify => Copy, or the command line prompt, type the command.
With COPY command can copy the line drawings of parts, assemblies and the like. We can also perform multiple copy moving the mouse before you complete the Enter key.

Copy of the building or part of drawing is done as follows:
  1. Click on the Copy button
  2. The pointer is reshaped in the box (which means it should be done selecting lines or drawings)
  3. Click on the drawing, or a line or multiple lines (selected line is highlighted dashed)
  4. Press Enter to complete the selection (or right mouse click on the desktop)
  5. AutoCAD now asks to select the base point for a set of drawings copied. Click on the "point of the base" => endpoint, or another point.
  6. Now move the mouse pointer (which drags behind him a copy of drawings)
  7. Click where you want to place the drawing.
  8. When you position the mouse pointer to the location of placing copies of left mouse click.
  9. You now have the ability to create and continue following up. If not, click the right mouse button or press the ENTER key to end the copy.
