How many different lines (Line, Polyline, Arc) to merge into a single polyline.
If you draw two or more forming a polyline drawing it all together and you want to convert into a polyline, you can also use the Polyline command EDIT toolbars MODIFY II.
Suppose you draw a polygon that consists of three Polylines (or multiple lines). Each Polyline (line, arc, polyline) are drawn separately (but connected).

If lines are drawn different versions (line, polyline, arc, etc ...) and you are usually selected from a first line drawn with the line or possibly bow drawn with Arc command then the inter-steps 2 and 3, after selecting the first line, you will be question "Do you want to turn it into one? <Y> "What does it mean, you want to convert into one line? AutoCAD offers you the option YES and it is enough to press the Enter key and then proceed with item 3
In the picture below you see that I drew a drawing that consists of 4x Line, 1x Polyline, 1x line-ARC
(Make no mistake in the picture I drew every kind of line in the second layer that is a different color)

When selected by each of the lines drawn to look like as shown below. (Notice grips for each line)

Activate the command EDIT POLYLINE and follow the above steps to merge all the lines (converted) into a one Polyline.
At the end you have a Polyline color as the first line that you selected from (I selected a first ARC red).
At the end you have a Polyline color as the first line that you selected from (I selected a first ARC red).

If you use the command POLYLINE and command WIDTH after completion of drawing a line is drawn as filled. If you want to fill the command line to remove the FILL (ON/OFF), after which it takes to run a command REGEN.
