16-2. LINEAR Dimension in AutoCAD
LINEAR Dimension - Rectangular (Orthogonal) Dimension sizes in AutoCAD

Command for a rectangular dimension reads DIMLINEAR. We start by clicking the button on the toolbar Linear DIMENSIONS, or with a text menu Dimensions => Linear and we can also over command line prompt.
When I say squarely that means listing at an angle of 90 degrees. So vertically or horizontally.
Before you run this command I advise you to activate the function button OSNAP mod. It is also advisable to make your STYLE DIMENSIONS (for that see no link. 8 Dimensions Style).
REQUIRED for style dimensions (line quotation) create a new style with a particular color.
Once you start you need to click the first point and then another point and dimensions with the mouse away from the line drawings in the appropriate place.
