15-6. AutoCAD Drawing RECTANGLE With the Mouse
How to draw a rectangle using a mouse in AutoCAD step by step

In AutoCAD command RECTANGLE draw polygon that has four peripheral sites.
Drawing start by clicking the command button on the toolbar or DRAW (text menu => DRAW => RECTANGLE) or by typing commands in the Command Line prompt.
After launching the command. (Before the first mouse click on the desktop drawing)
Specify first corner point or [chamfer/Elevation/Fillet/Thickness/Width]:
What do these terms refer to the link toolbar MODIFY a part I will not explain because this is training for beginners.
After the first mouse click have the command line prompt:
Specify other corner point or [Area/Dimensions/Rotation]: R [Rotate rectangle]
Specify rotation angle or [Pick points] <0>: 45 [rotation]
Otherwise, draw a rectangle at an angle and can be a way to rotate the UCS and then horizontal rectangle will track the direction of axis X.
When drawing RECTANGLE rectangular drawing notice clause in the command line prompt.
It is important to know if you use one of the command RECTANGLE in AutoCAD remember that clause and the next time drawing with the same command RECTANGLE and AutoCAD will apply the properties of the previous drawing.
Explanation: If you are drawn to clause [width] the width of lines 5 and then the next drawing with the Rectangle beam line will be 5, to avoid this and draw the normal line is necessary to re-activate subcommand [width] and enter a zero (0) , and then continue to draw.
Nako finished drawing with the order we have a rectangle and a rectangle of a character's dimensions.
Here note, if you draw with Dimension subcommand after the first mouse click (ie setting the start point). AutoCAD you can enter dimensions of the rectangle.
Specify first corner point or [chamfer/Elevation/Fillet/Thickness/Width]: [first mouse click]
Specify other corner point or [Dimensions]: D [activate subcommand Dimensions]
Specify length for rectangles <100.0000>: 300 [length of the rectangle (horizontal line, which is in fact looking at our wide screen monitor]
Specify width for rectangles <100.0000>: 120 [width of the rectangle (vertical line, which is in fact looking at the height of our monitor screen]
Specify other corner point or [Dimensions]: and finally click on the area of quadrants in which we place the rectangle.
Make sure to click the final rectangle locates in one of the quadrants of the coordinate system. Before that final click, we can move the mouse pointer per quadrant (relative to the first point of drawing that we have in this case the starting point) and when we are positioned in the quadrant of the rectangle as desired then click the final mouse click. (Do not accidentally press the ESC key to cancel because the AutoCAD drawing.) To know I'm talking about you know the coordinate system (see link Coordinate System in AutoCAD ).

Notice the pictures above position as a UCS and accommodation on the desktop. The first picture is a UCS associated with drawing because it is located (I did order ORIGIN) View => Display => UCS Icon => turned on Origin
On the second picture is the ORIGIN off.
On the second picture is the ORIGIN off.
How to set the UCS at an angle and draw on the basis of it (step-by-step)
First, by using the UCS-a (first button on the toolbar) Position a UCS-(ORTHO off)
Now you can try to draw a line (turn ORTHO) and you will see that the horizontal position of the UCS-track that you set.

How to draw a square or rectangle in AutoCAD?
On this page I mentioned to draw a rectangle connected with the position of the quadrants of the coordinate system is important because in the end (before the final click) to set the polygon in a particular quadrant.
REQUIRED! before drawing a rectangle to see which is the angle of rotation (if you have previously worked with him). Uncheck it to zero (0) if you want to track the position of a UCS. (You notice if you UCS in the starting position and the polygon line is angled so that you know that you change the angle of rotation of drawing polygons)
So while you have not clicked on the final click (or entered dimensions) determine quadrant (the direction of drawing a rectangle in the positioning of the quadrant of the coordinate system)

ATTENTION! Also, never use the word Width/Height as a 2D drawing no height (So, only the Length and Width )
