How to make REGION in AutoCAD
REGION command serves to close an area as a whole. Often associated with this command BOUNDARY (Borders), which creates a border area, but in two forms (Region or Polyline)
REGION command can be applied only to drawing a closed lines or area. If you have a drawing and you can't apply the command REGION time drawing maximum zoom in and verify that all lines are connected to one another. (Please see the picture below, which looks after max. Zoom)
After the max. ZOOM and see that the lines are not connected (related)
For example: we draw a polygon of a simple line. When selected by these lines then we see that the selected individually. After treatment with the respective polygon REGION command and re-selection notice that it has selected a single click of the whole drawing (no more individual moult)
Also, this command is important if we want to apply a drawing command EXTRUDE (to create a 3D object) eg wall in the 3D view and the wall is drawn in the layout of the lines.
To check whether we have after applying the command REGION well create a region, click on the button Realistic Visual Style on the toolbar and Visual Style if the drawing is filled with filling then you have done well.

To apply the command REGION of the respective characters do the following:
Click on the button REGION on the toolbar DRAW (Draw menu => Region), or enter a command in the Command Line prompt.
After clicking the command button select all the lines of characters (I have selected a first figure) and then press ENTER
Command: _region [command]
Select objects: 1 found [selected first line]
Select objects: 1 found, 2 total [selected lines other]
Select objects: 1 found, 3 total [selected third line]
Select objects: 1 found, 4 total [selected line of the fourth]
Select objects: [ENTER key]
1 Loop extracted.
1 Region created. [1 region was created]
Also you could select the entire image at once using the frame for selection.

Now we have this situation when selects created region.
I applied the same command and the circle.
Now, when you activate the view of Realistic Visual Style to see the characters that we have applied the REGION command completed restoration. Notice in the picture below that I have not applied the Polygon command Region.

In as much as there is a problem with this command when you draw, then you probably need to use the BOUNDARY and click inside the closed area. If you are in this selects all the lines then you are sure that the area is completely closed. Boundary command can also convert multiple lines in a POLYLINE.
